Q: What is a Kozy?
A: They are all natural heating pads that are filled with a special "no pop" corn. The bag is made of felt, and includes a removable cover. When heated in a microwave, the corn will retain the heat.
Q: How does the Kozy get hot?
A: These warmers can only be warmed in a microwave. Do not use a conventional electric, gas, or toaster oven.
Q: How long does it take to heat-up, and how long will it last?
A: With only 3-5 minutes in the microwave your warmer will get quite hot. Start with 3 minutes, adding additional time to the desired temperature. Overheating may also result in scorching or damaging the inner bag's contents. Please be careful when taking the warmer out of the microwave, they can get extremely hot. Once heated, the warmer will retain it's heat for approximately 2+ hours.
Q: Can Kozys be used for other things?
A: Most certainly, and almost always. Kozys have a variety of uses including: Baby Bed Warmers, Pet Warmers (Older pets love them), Sporting Events (For those cold football games), Food Warmer (keep casseroles hot as you travel to parties), Aches & Pains (perfect for backaches, colds, cramps and injuries). Remember, it retains its heat for quite a while.
It's great for taking along outdoors on cold days.
Q: How big is a Kozy?
A: Warmers are 11 inches x 9 inches and weigh approximately 3 pounds. Size and weight may very slightly due to being hand made and due to moisture content in the corn.
Q: May I request a special fabric?
A: Absolutely. We accept special orders. We can select a particular color for you, or you may send your fabric to us and we will make a custom Kozy for you. We can also match paint or fabric samples for that extra special Kozy.
